I look forward to many years of continuing my journey in this field, and welcoming and mentoring the future generation of young women advisors.
As a child, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up! My mother was an executive working in the residential lending industry and my father was a factory worker for Kroger. I remember times when playing with my younger sister that we would work with money, whether that was “clothes shopping” in each other’s closets or “grocery shopping” out of the kitchen pantry! As I entered college, it became clear that a degree in the financial services industry would be for me. The question then became, corporate or personal finance?
I attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Ecology with a specialization in Family Resource Management. I obtained an internship with a local financial planning firm during my senior year at Ohio State, spending the first few years of my career applying what I learned in college while working with middle-income clients. Over the last three and half years, I have been blessed to work with several amazing female mentors here at Budros, Ruhlin & Roe who have inspired and encouraged me to excel in this industry. I am currently working toward obtaining my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and look forward to calling BRR my “home” for many years to come.
Outside of striving to provide a level of personal service to clients that I want to be second to none, I enjoy traveling, working out, spending time with my family, friends and dog Lydia, as well as cheering on the Buckeyes!
