My mission is to be a guiding force in the organizational development of my company and to have an impact on people’s lives by helping them to achieve their goals and objectives.
I started my career in manufacturing where I first obtained my passion for organizational development and continuous improvement. I carried this passion into a longstanding career in human resources where I’ve been able to assist companies, and individuals, in achieving their developmental and performance goals. When I started my career as one of few female leaders in a global manufacturing organization, I at times struggled with who I was and what I was expected to be. I lacked self-assurance and felt it was necessary to conform in order to be successful. It wasn’t until I learned to embrace the qualities and thinking that made me unique that I truly found purpose and was able to excel. From those early years of experience I learned to always be true to myself and never underestimate my own ability or influence.
Growing up from humble beginnings on a farm in Orient, Ohio taught me the values of perseverance, integrity, honesty, respect and love of family. These values have served me well in achieving my personal and career goals. While working full-time, and raising a family, I graduated magna cum laude from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio with B.S. degrees in both Human Resources Management and Business Administration. My graduate studies were also completed at Franklin, where I obtained my MBA with a focus on strategic human resources concepts. In 2008, I obtained SPHR® certification. I was very excited to have the opportunity to join the Budros, Ruhlin & Roe team, in 2014, as Director of Human Resources. Budros, Ruhlin and Roe is a company committed to excellence in serving its clients and its employees; and it is a company that embodies the same values that are important to me personally. I feel honored to be working side-by-side with some of the most talented financial professionals in our industry; and to be working for a company that has made such a difference in the lives of so many.
In my personal time, I’m an avid reader and I enjoy running and working on home DIY projects. Recently, I celebrated 30 years of marriage with the man who has always believed in and supported me. Most of all, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our beautiful family. As I watch the spark in my young granddaughter’s eyes, I can’t help but wonder where her own courage and passion will take her.
